I am opening four hobby boxes of the new 2023/24 Topps Midnight NBA Basketball for our next early first look collectible sports trading card pack unboxing/product review! This set is unlicensed, so there are no team logos, but these boxes contain some of the only autographs for the NBA’s top rookies who didn’t sign deals with Panini. Hobby boxes sell in the $300 range. Every box contains 1 7-card pack (12 box cases). Expect 3 autographs, 3 parallels/inserts, and 1 base card per box. These boxes come with chances at pulling some of the only rookie jersey autographs of San Antonio Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama, premium chrome RPA cards of the top players from the 2023 NBA Draft class, 1/1 Black Light parallels, rare LeBron James autographs, ultra-rare SSP case hit inserts (Dream Chasers, After Hours), various SP/SSP parallels (Zodiac, Morning, Twilight, Dusk, Moon Beam, Moonrise, Midnight, Daybreak), various inserts from multiple sets (Night Ball, Lunar Tide, Constellations, Star Studded), signature cards featuring on-card ink of the NBA’s top rookies/stars/legends/HOFers (Rookie Jersey Autographs, Stroke of Midnight, Rookie Horizon, Horizon veteran/legend), rare cards of Wemby, Steph Curry, Brandon Miller, LBJ, Scoot Henderson, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokic, Jayson Tatum, Shaq, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, & Dirk Nowitzki, and more! You can get a box to break for yourself from your local sports card hobby shops and online retailers/sellers. Despite not having the NBA rights, the potential for exclusive autographs gives this set one of the highest ceilings of all the current products on the market! Compared to the other Topps Basketball sets, I like this one a lot due to the on-card Wemby autos, beautiful design, and contents per box! Overall, I would rate this product a 7/10. I can’t wait for this set to have the NBA license!
