CNN reported that Hamas’ new political chief, Yahya Sinwar, has sent his first message to Benjamin Netanyahu via Egyptian and Qatari negotiators. Sinwar said that he was a ceasefire deal that ends Israel’s war on Gaza. Moments later, Hamas claimed that it does not plan to send negotiators for talks with Israel on a ceasefire-hostage deal on Thursday. Hebrew media quoted a senior Israeli official saying that Hamas’ announcement was a bargaining tactic. Watch.
