Sky News host James Morrow has blasted “desperate and grubby” moves by the Labor Party to character assassinate Peter Dutton ahead of the federal election.
Mr Dutton has come under pressure from Labor ministers in recent days over his share trades during the global financial crisis and property investments following revelations he has made millions of dollars over 35 years.
“Now no one really believes that in either of these two instances … Dutton did anything wrong,” Mr Morrow said.
“It’s all low-rent stuff, but I tell you what, I fear that the next five, six … weeks of campaigning, we will see more of the same.”
