5 months agoLet me add something. He didn’t overcharge you guys. I’m Mexican, living in Mexico and I’ve seen videos of Americans going to other places and getting charged twice or more the real cost here. For them is still cheaper but I always thought it wasn’t ethical. So let me tell you, you found a nice honest practitioner.

5 months agoMexico has one of the world highest standards when it comes to health services and healthcare. Mexican health professionals are world class. All healthcare pros must have a (cédula profesional) a Federal license to regulate healthcare services. Even nurses must study in a College a 5 year program and get a bachellor degree.

5 months agoI went to see a gynecologist as a teenager in Mexico. The pediatrics didn’t know what to do with me in the States, and the gynos here thought I was too young to be treated for the type of pelvic pain I was experiencing. I went during my school breaks for treatment. Best decision my parents made and would absolutely do it again.

5 months agoLike Eric, I legit hate the dentists, and every one I’ve been to here in Canada has always done the same thing. Unnecessary charges and scolding. Sounds like you both had a great experience, and it’s maybe something I’ll consider when I’m in Mexico later this year. All the best!Read more

5 months ago (edited)I don’t know what do foreigners think Mexican medical professionals are. It sounds derogatory when he asks, is it safe? As they are looking down to medical professionals just because we are Mexicans. I really didn’t like that comment at all.

5 months agoHello guys. I am happy you posted this video. I am originally from Mexico, but have been living in the US for 35 years. I recently was in Puerto Vallarta for the holidays, and had reconstruction work on 10 of my teeth in Las Varas Nayarit. Meaning I get cosmetic work so that my teeth all look closed to perfect. I only paid about $275.00 USD for all 10 teeth, and the dentist whom I have used for the last 8 years is super professional and helpful. Great going!
@AndyandRachel
5 months agoOhhh this was super helpful! I had looked into getting dental work done in Mexico before and it all got overwhelming. It’s great to see an office and an honest review in case that’s something we need again. So glad it was a good experience for you guys 🙂

3 weeks agoI’m a dental assistant in the states, it’s nice to see this video and see that my Dr. acts and treat his practice exactly like this to a certain extent. I get stories all the time other dental offices butcher patients teeth and I feel bad for them. I would say our prices suck compared to to Mexico but I can see both sides why it’s so expensive here. It’s not necessarily because one is better than the other. I think it’s strictly just how cold hearted the US health system is. Not trying to get political btu it’s probably just politics. My Dr. has explained to me why pricing is so different. A big factor as well is cost of living. The dollar is like 16 peso.Read more

5 months agoAwesome video you guys. When I was a kid, my dentist somehow managed to find cavities every single time I went in, and ignored me when I said the drill was hurting (it was excrutiating). It left me pretty scarred and hating the dentist with a passion. Here in Chapala, Mexico, at the age of nearly fourty – and after extremely sporatic visits to dentists, even worse than Eric – I finally had the courage to get my wisdom teeth out, and to start getting other work done. I’ll always hate going to the dentist (I cringe everytime I hear that unmistakable high-pitched drilling sound) but it’s been a much better experience here, and I absolutely recommend it to anyone able to come; just make sure to thoroughly research the clinic first, and speaking Spanish is very helpful in assuring that you get the best doctors, and not necessarily just those that speak English. My husband and I are moving to the US this year, but coming back here for care is something we plan to do.Read more

5 months agoThe mistake gringos make in mexico is to talk about the outrageous prices in the US/Canada publicly, people here in mexico hear this and they immediately jack the prices up trying to take advantage of the situation. That’s why everything is getting so expensive in mexico(housing, food, health care, etc.). STOP BOASTING ABOUT HOW CHEAP THINGS ARE HERE IF YOU WANT TO KEEP ENJOYING THE LOW COST OF LIFE in mexico!!!. My family couldn’t afford to live in CDMX after 30 yrs. living there because rents got so high over the past two years for all the gringos moving into the city. You guys are making everything so expensive here that you’ll wind up turning our country into the place you’re running from.Read more

5 months agoThat was great guys! Informative and entertaining. Dental work in the states is strangely expensive, of course the dentists feel entitled to have better things than average people, but it’s absurd now. Guessing it’s the malpractice insurance that drives up the cost. Then factor in the school space is deliberately limited to keep supply behind demand. At some point we’ll come out ahead after paying the travel, stays, and meals to get treated there at reduced cost. With a bonus vacation thrown in. A major concern would be there’s no recourse if something goes wrong later as a result of the treatment somehow, where in the States there’s court. In Canada, I don’t know, but we’ve been led to believe all is free. Free at the time of service rendered, obviously not free of cost as it is collected plus administration in the form of multiple taxation angles on everybody.Read moreReply

1 month agoI just went to dentists and they want to do two root canals. One tooth already has pain. The other doesn’t. So I’m considering traveling to Mexico or El Salvador to get dental work done. I’m reading on line it’s better to get the tooth extracted and get an implant. Idk what to do so I came to YouTube ! lol. Anyways nice video. You guys seem so nice !Reply

4 months agoGirl, that tooth will still get reinfected if you’ve had a root canal. There’s a 100% probability of that. Just keep and eye on it, because there’s not always pain associated with it. You will need a cone beam scan as it will not be visible on a regular x-ray!Reply
