If some teeth are missing, either due to congenital causes or to an accident, it is possible to replace them without anyone noticing they are not your own. First a small titanium screw is placed either in the maxilar or mandibular bone, used to hold the replacement piece. There is no need to wear away any of the neighboring teeth, which is done when fused implants are placed. Implants are helpful also for improving chewing and it can be done for one tooth or all the mouth; for the latter, a minimum of six screws are required.
Teeth Whitening
This whitening process is made with a hydrogen-peroxide formula. If you want your teeth whitened, first you will need an appointment for a cleaning. At this appointment the Doctor will also take a model of your teeth for some guards to be made for you to use at home. In your second appointment the Doctor will apply a high concentration of carbamida peroxide and it will be explained to you how to use the guards with a whitening product at your home at night. This procedure is not recommended for people with intrinsic pigmentation or dental hypersensitivity; in these cases porcelain veneers are a better option.

Dental implants are substitutes for missing teeth roots and can be used to replace a single missing tooth, to support a bridge, or to retain a complete denture. Usually 3 visits are required to complete the implant procedure: One for examination, planning and site selection, the second for surgical placement of fixtures and a third, a minimum of 8 weeks later, for placement of the final restorations. Root shaped implants are made of titanium, a metal that has proved to be bio compatible and that can actually integrate with bone to form a strong bond. Follow up to Implant Review. I had mentioned in a prior post how my procedures went very well. So, three days after receiving my treatment I was eating a meal and the temporary crown became loose. Most likely my fault but nonetheless I luckily had already booked a return flight to Vallarta for the weekend. I contacted Dr. Claudio T and told him about my problem. He and Dr. Arlette met me at their office on a Sunday afternoon. We decided it was best to change courses and construct multiple mouth guards with a tooth embedded to replace my missing tooth for the duration of the healing process. They worked on these items for over two hours and made perfect fitting mouth guards. They were so kind and caring to do this on their day off and on a Sunday no doubt. To top it off, there was no charge. I cannot imagine this happening in the USA on a Sunday, let alone for no extra charge. They felt it was their responsibility to take care of me as a patient. I cannot express my gratitude fully for all they have done thus far. The experience has been wonderful! Thank you very much, Dr. Claudio T and Dr. Arlette!.
