Teeth Whitening
SMILE TEETH WHITENINGTeeth enamel discoloration can be caused by staining, aging,or chemical damage to teeth. Some of the more common causes of teeth discoloration are medications, coffee, tea or cigarettes.People who drink significant amounts of cola soft driks can experience similar staining. Teeth bleaching is a chemical process used to lighten the color of the patient´s teeth. The procedure can be performed entirely in the cosmetic dentist´s office or it can be performed by the patient in their home, using materials provided by the dentist. The home method is often used because it saves the patient from having to make an office visit for each treatment. Before the patient embarks on the home teeth whitening regiment, the cosmetic dentist creates a custom mouth tray for the patient. The custom tray is a critical componet of the treatment. it ensures that the correct amount of whitening solution is used and that the patient´s teeth are properly exposed to the whitening solution . The custom made mouth tray provides for a better fit than a one-size-fits-all mouth tray to help increase the margin of patient safety. The In-Office Whitening System is a revolutionary tooth whitening procedure. It´s safe, effective and fast -very fast. In just over an hour ,your teeth will be dramatically whiter.In- Office is ideal for anyone looking for immediate results. The convenience in comparasion to days of wearing trays and gradual withening makes it the perfecrt choice for the busy individual. The In-Office teeth withening procedure is easy and pain-free. It starts with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. Then the proprietary whitening gel is applied. The whitening gel is then activated through the application of a specially designed light. Finally ,the procedure is completed with a five-minute floride treatment. The procedure often leaves teeth up to six to ten times whiter.

Crowns, Bridges and Full Mouth Reconstruction
Bridges are natural-looking dental appliances that can replace a section of missing teeth. Because they are custom-made, bridges are barely noticeable and can restore the natural contour of teeth as well as the proper bite relationship between upper and lower teeth.
Bridges are sometimes referred to as fixed partial dentures, because they are semi-permanent and are bonded to existing teeth or implants. Some bridges are removable and can be cleaned by the wearer; others need to be removed by a dentist.
Porcelain, gold alloys or combinations of materials are usually used to make bridge appliances.
Appliances called implant bridges are attached to an area below the gum tissue, or the bone.
CROWNS
Crowns are synthetic caps, usually made of a material like porcelain, placed on the top of a tooth.
Crowns are typically used to restore a tooth’s function and appearance following a restorative procedure such as a root canal. When decay in a tooth has become so advanced that large portions of the tooth must be removed, crowns are often used to restore the tooth.
Crowns are also used to attach bridges, cover implants, prevent a cracked tooth from becoming worse, or an existing filling is in jeopardy of becoming loose or dislocated. Crowns also serve an aesthetic use, and are applied when a discolored or stained tooth needs to be restored to its natural appearance.
Procedures
A tooth must usually be reduced in size to accommodate a crown. An impression is made of the existing tooth and an impression is made. The impression is sent to a special lab, which manufactures a custom-designed crown. In some cases, a temporary crown is applied until the permanent crown is ready. Permanent crowns are cemented in place.
Crowns are sometimes confused with veneers, but they are quite different. Veneers are typically applied only to relatively small areas.
Caring For Your Crowns
With proper care, a good quality crown could last up to eight years or longer. It is very important to floss in the area of the crown to avoid excess plaque or collection of debris around the restoration.
Certain behaviors such as jaw clenching or bruxism (teeth grinding) significantly shorten the life of a crown. Moreover, eating brittle foods, ice or hard candy can compromise the adhesion of the crown, or even damage the crown.

Patient Reviews
- Sterling O. Sacramento, CA19214Mar 27, 2024I experienced the loss of a 40 year old gold crown. The next day I arranged for an appointment to replace the crown. Dr. Jorge gave me a temporary crown with 40 minutes. Quick. Professional. 1200 pesos.
Because I have dental insurance in the United States, I will have the crown replaced upon my next visit.
I recommend Just Smiles wholeheartedly based upon my experience. Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Emelie S. Puyallup, WA343126Sep 28, 2023Dr. Sanchez was friendly and totally mindful of the time constraints I had while I was visiting PV. I had a broken partial denture that didn’t fit properly in my mouth after my own self repair- which made speaking a little difficult. He expedited my partial and it fit perfect and looked even better than the original one I had made in the states. I’m already starting plans to return for him to do more permanent work for me!

- David T Houston, TX054Mar 5, 2024Dr. Sanchez installed porcelain veneers. I found Dr. Sanchez to be very pleasing to work with, talented and highly competent in cosmetic dentistry. I was afraid after seeing so many people in the US with veneers I felt were too large. Dr. Sanchez considered the smile line, size and color. My veneers are are beautiful, look natural, and exactly what I wanted. Huge thanks Dr. Sanchez.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
- Marcella A. San Francisco, CA017Mar 4, 2023Dr. Omar is the other rock star dentist that helps out Dr. Alejandro Sanchez on Saturdays-he did an exam, images, a cleaning, a filling, and 4 take home syringes of bleaching gel for 186.00 US. Was the best dental experience ever. Totally different from the dentists in the USA. The dentists in Mexico do the cleaning, exam, x rays, unlike in the US where the hygienist is totally separate and it’s almost impossible to get a cleaning if you don’t book them 6 months out. It to mention the cost difference and skill. Didn’t even feel the injection. Didn’t need fillings where my dentist in the US told me I needed one. Will be returning to the marina in 6 months for another cleaning and if I need fillings, I will go Smile. They are across the street from their old location, so the website is not accurate. The number there is 3222090499, they don’t really answer email at [email protected]. His cell is 3221434435 and the whatsapp is the best method to get an appointment. You’re welcome.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
- Brian K. Elite 24 Dallas, TX146296304Oct 15, 2020 First to Review Let me start with a little background. I live in Dallas & have spent a small fortune with my dentist at home over the last 5 years when I started the process for the “perfect smile”. I was less than fortunate when it came to good teeth genes. To no fault of my dentist at home; a tooth with a veneer on it broke a month ago. I panicked, ran to his office and was disheartened to learn the tooth couldn’t be salvaged and I needed an implant. I was quoted $5900 USD. Between what I had already spent in my mouth and the anxiety of shelling out another $6,000; I called a friend of mine who suggested I find a dentist in Mexico. I don’t know why I had never even thought of doing that. I’ve been vacationing in PV for over 10 years and felt most comfortable coming here. The search began & I ran across Smile Vallarta and read the reviews on Dr. Sanchez. I emailed his office immediately & we communicated back and forth probably 10 times where I was not only assured he could help me, but I was also quoted a price over email, which you would never get in the US. The price quoted was about 75% LESS than I was quoted at home. I’m lucky to travel weekly for work so I used points for a flight and booked a cheap hotel in the Romantic Zone and came in for 3 days for what I thought would just be a consultation. After doing X-rays; Dr. Sanchez advised against even needing an implant and said removing the K9 should be a last option resort and since my tooth broke below the gum line it was salvageable. We ended up doing a post & a temporary crown the same day. Not only that, his lab was closing in 10 min and no longer delivering the supplies he needed for my crown. He left, got in his own car and drove over there himself to pick up the items needed so he could get all this done for me in 2 days. He stayed until 7:30 last night working on my temp crown so that I would have a tooth for ONE night. He took my old crown to match the color perfectly for my new permanent crown that he put on today before my flight. Yes, the lab charged a little more for the rush job, but I was happy to pay the extra rush fee. He could have certainly completed the implant for our agreed upon price; which was $1,000 more than the service he ended up suggesting and going with; so I got a mini vacation, met a wonderful doctor, leaving PV with a permanent crown that’s beautiful & a treatment plan to finish out the 8 teeth I have left without veneers on them – saving about $8,000 from what I was quoted at home . He did say to book a 5 day vacation next time as he can’t do 8 teeth overnight. LOL. Words can’t express how thankful I am for Dr. Sanchez. If you are on the fence or nervous about going to Mexico for dental work, don’t think twice about setting up a consult with him.
- Big smiles leaving PV!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
