The nation’s largest police department has a new temporary leader after Edward Caban abruptly resigned as New York City police commissioner Thursday. Federal investigators raided Caban’s home and seized his phone last week as part of a corruption probe that has surrounded Mayor Eric Adams’ administration in recent months. Tom Donlon has been named interim commissioner. Former NYPD Deputy Commissioner Richard Esposito joined CBS News to discuss the situation with the department.

ধীরে ধীরে দৃশ্যমান হচ্ছে পদ্মা সেতুতে হাসিনা সরকারের লুটপাটের চিত্র। এমনিতেই ধারণা করা হচ্ছিল এই সেতুর খরচ কোনোভাবেই ৩২ হাজার কোটি টাকা হতে পারে না। লুটপাটের কারণেই ব্যয় এত বেড়েছে।
শুক্রবার একটি গণমাধ্যমের প্রতিবেদনে বলা হয়, পদ্মা সেতুর দুই প্রান্তে দুটি ম্যুরাল ও ম্যুরালের জন্য কিছু স্থাপনা নির্মাণেই ১১৭ কোটি টাকা ব্যয় করেছে বিগত আওয়ামী লীগ সরকার।

그룹 뉴진스가 민희진 전 대표의 복귀를 요구한 가운데, 민 전 대표도 반격에 나섰습니다. 해임을 받아들일 수 없다며, 어도어 사내 이사에 다시 선임해 달라는 내용의 가처분 신청을 낸 건데요. 뉴진스 전속계약이 사실상 해지 수순에 들어간 것 아니냔 분석이 나옵니다. 정해주 기잡니다.

[민지/뉴진스 멤버 : “방 회장님, 그리고 하이브는 25일까지 어도어를 원래대로 복귀시키는 현명한 결정을 해 주시길 바랍니다.”]

그룹 뉴진스의 공개 요구 이틀 만에 민희진 전 대표의 후속 조치가 나왔습니다.

대표이사 해임은 ‘주주 간 계약’ 위반이고, 법원의 결정에도 반한다며 가처분 신청을 낸 겁니다.

오는 11월 2일 민 전 대표의 임기가 끝나기 전에 임시주주총회를 소집해 사내이사로 재선임한 다음 대표에 앉히라는 요구입니다.

[김지혁/변호사 : “(민희진 전 대표가) 어도어 내에서 아무런 입지도 없이 소송을 진행해야 하는 부담이 있어서 우선적으로 이사직을 유지하기 위해서 이번 가처분을 신청하는 것으로 보입니다.”]

법조계 일각에선 민 전 대표가 뉴진스의 전속계약 해지를 위한 수순에 들어갔다는 평가가 나옵니다.

가처분 신청이 받아들여지면 어도어 측이 민 전 대표를 대표이사로 선임할 리가 없어 나갈 수 있는 명분을 쌓을 수 있고, 받아들여지지 않더라도 어도어 안에서 최대한 해보려 했지만 어쩔 수 없이 나가야 한다는 논리를 펼 수 있다는 겁니다.

이에 대해 하이브와 어도어 측은 ‘주주 간 계약’은 이미 해지된 만큼 법적 판단을 기다리면 되는 거고 대표이사 해임은 어도어 이사회가 독자적으로 결정한 일이어서 하이브나 주주 간 계약과는 무관한다는 입장을 내놨습니다.

복잡한 소송이 장기화할 것이 분명한 가운데, 월드 투어 등 향후 뉴진스 활동에도 영향을 미치지 않을까 우려가 커지고 있습니다.
