『A KITE』（1998年）、『MEZZO FORTE』（2000年）等、自ら原作・監督・キャラクターデザインを手がけ、その唯一無二の世界観で国内外から人気を集める、日本アニメーション界の鬼才・梅津泰臣。近年は様々な人気タイトルのオープニング・エンディング映像演出やアニメーターとしてマルチに活躍を続けてきたが、この度、約10年ぶりの監督アニメーション企画『ヴァージン・パンク』を発表する。
　監督・梅津泰臣と共に映像制作を手がけるのは、アニメーションスタジオ・シャフト。『魔法少女まどか☆マギカ』や『〈物語〉シリーズ』等、濃く・長く愛される作品を世に送り出し続けるスタジオだ。
『ヴァージン・パンク』は、梅津泰臣がシャフトとタッグを組み、自ら企画・原作を担ったオリジナルアニメーションシリーズ。脚本には仮面ライダーシリーズ、劇場アニメ「LUPIN THE ⅢRD」シリーズ、ドラマ「マウンテンドクター」の高橋悠也を迎え、唯一無二のアニメーション表現を武器に、〝バウンティハンター〟として生きることとなった主人公・羽舞（ウブ）の苦悩、彼女を取り巻く強烈なキャラクター達が織りなす欲望と混沌をめぐる物語を描く。
第1弾「Clockwork Girl」は2025年初夏、シネ・リーブル池袋、テアトル梅田にて公開予定。
