What Our Patients Say

Dear Dr. Liza, I cannot thank you enough for the outstanding dental care that I received from you during the last month. When my wife and I last saw our US dentist three months ago, he made it very clear that we both needed significant dental work to address major problems that had accumulated over the years.

dental implants

Dental Implants

Usually, dental implants are used to secure crowns, bridgework or denture. Dental implant procedure has changed dentistry for many years now. This is due to the fact that it has not only evolved from scientific research and discovery, but also, by practical application in clinical practice. Composition of Dental Implants Dental implants are made of titanium due to its light weight property. It is also known of its strong properties and is bio-compatible, meaning; it cannot be rejected by the body. The special property of fusing to bone is the biological basis for dental implants in titanium. The Dental Implants Procedure The procedure for dental implant is carried out in three stages: First, the dentist will surgically place the implant into the jawbone. He will then recommend a diet of soft foods, cold foods and warm soup during the healing process. The next stage, the bone around the implant heals through a process called osseintegration. This makes the implant so strong because the bone actually grows around the implant and holds it in place. Some patients will be required to wait for several months before the implant can be completely integrated. Other patients will have the implants and replacement teeth placed all in one visit. The final stage is the time for placement of the artificial teeth. For every tooth implant, the dentist will customize a new tooth, what is known as a dental crown. The crown is usually based on size, shape, color and fit and is designed to blend with your other teeth. In case more than a single tooth is being replaced, custom-made bridges will be designed in order to fit the patient’s mouth and the implants. Since the replacement teeth takes some time to make, dentists usually give temporary crown, bridge or denture to help the patient eat and speak normally until the permanent replacements are ready. It is recommended that prior consultation is sought from a dentist for anyone interested in dental implants. This is due to the fact that, medical evaluation is necessary before any implant surgery can be performed. For patients in good health, this treatment may be a good option for them. Some conditions and chronic illnesses such as diabetes or leukemia are likely to interfere with the healing process after surgery. Patients with such conditions are not ideal for implants. Use of tobacco can also slow the healing process. Benefits of Dental Implants Dental implants play a significant role in restoring smile. They also help an individual to chew, eat, talk and maintain a natural appearance. Besides replacing lost teeth, implants help maintain the shape and density of the jawbone. Compared to other repair and restoration methods, dental implants treatments are considered the most reliable, with a long-term successful outcome. For this reason they are perceived more predictable. Dental implants impart individual’s social, psychological and physical well-being.

Veneers

A veneer is a very thin dental restoration that covers only part of a tooth, mostly the front surface. They are available to mask tooth stains, conceal gaps, or make slightly crooked teeth appear straight. Almost anyone can be a candidate for veneers, unless you have tooth decay or gum disease, and these issues would have to be addressed first.

Bridges

Bridges are small rows of replacement teeth used to fill in large gaps. Bridges that look and feel like real teeth.

Cosmetic Dental Care

Are you pleased with the color, shape, and size of your teeth? Let us help you achieve the smile you’ve always wanted!

Crowns

While crowns may be needed for certain teeth that have cracks or large amounts of decay, they can also be used on teeth for an improved esthetic appearance. Crowns are dental restorations that completely cover the natural tooth to strengthen, protect, and improve the appearance of the tooth. A variety of materials are available for crowns, such as gold, porcelain, or a combination of materials. Porcelain crowns offer the most natural-looking results.

Composite Restorations

Composite restorations: are tooth-colored fillings. Unlike amalgam (silver) fillings, these fillings mimic your natural tooth color and make them virtually invisible and very esthetic.

Extractions

Losing your teeth will never be an easy thing to face, but it is important to replace missing teeth to prevent further dental problems. Though nobody enjoys the thought of having teeth pulled, occasionally a tooth can crack, break or become so decayed, diseased or crooked that the only solution left is a tooth extraction. We consider pulling teeth a last resort, but if it is required, we employ the very latest techniques to keep patients comfortable and make the procedure painless. A reminder: having a toothache can indicate a problem, and though it doesn’t necessarily lead to tooth extraction, you should have it looked at as soon as possible. When you have a dental emergency, you don’t have to wait for an appointment. You can simply walk in during our regular hours, and though you may have to wait at busier times, we will see you.

Periodontal Dental Care

Healthy gums are an important part of having a healthy mouth. Gum disease is easily treated if detected early.

Dentures

Like bridges and implants, the secret to good dentures is in the details.  While dentures certainly bring many life-changing benefits, almost all denture-wearers find that problems do occur. Typically, they become loose and can cause painful sore spots. Maintaining them requires frequent visits for adjustments and may require repeated relines and adhesives. But there’s no reason to suffer from these denture troubles any longer as we offer Snap-on dentures.

Endodontic Dental Care

Endodontic Dental Care

Root canal therapy is often used to save infected or damaged teeth. We use modern technology to provide this procedure with little or no discomfort. If you have a tooth that develops a crack, has a large amount of dental decay, or has received trauma, bacteria can enter the tooth and travel to the pulp, where the nerve of the tooth lies.  If this infection is left untreated, it may lead to an abscess in the jawbone which can cause severe pain and swelling.

Treatment includes removing the infected pulp and thoroughly cleaning the canal inside the root of the tooth.  The root canal is then sealed to protect it from further infection.  Many teeth need a crown placed in order to strengthen the remaining tooth structure.

*Same-day emergency treatment is available.

Cleaning (Ultrasound or Aquacare)

Elevate your dental cleaning experience with our advanced ultrasound and aquacare treatments! Our ultrasound technology gently removes plaque and tartar with ease, while AquaCare uses a soothing stream of water to wash away debris and bacteria. Say goodbye to discomfort and hello to a sparkling, rejuvenated smile. Book your appointment today and experience the future of dental hygiene!

Teeth Whitening

Add some sparkle to your smile with tooth whitening! We have a variety of options  available for whitening your teeth. A budget-friendly option is a take-home kit. We can provide you with custom-fit whitening trays used with a professional strength bleaching gel. Another option is Zoom!® whitening, which is performed in the dental office. It offers the strongest whitening power available with the potential to whiten teeth several shades lighter. Since it is performed by the dentist, it is safe and offers superior results. This service only takes about an hour – you can transform your smile on your lunch break!

Orthodontics

Orthodontic treatment involves the design and use of corrective appliances (such as braces, plates, headgears and functional appliances) to bring the teeth and jaws into proper alignment. We are Invisalign licensed and offer various treatment options ranging from traditional metal braces and clear (ceramic) braces. We understand that orthodontic treatment is a big adjustment for you and we are passionate about providing the most aesthetic treatment. Orthodontics is not just for teenagers anymore. Adults of all ages are now considering orthodontic movement of their natural teeth, and no longer need to be self-conscious when they smile. For some it may even mean fewer veneers or crowns if the teeth are straightened first! Children are advised to have their first orthodontic “check-up” from age 7, however most do not require treatment until after losing all of their primary or baby teeth.
