6명이 주검으로 발견된 곳은 방콕의 그랜드 하얏트 에라완 호텔입니다.

숨진 이들은 모두 한 객실에서 발견됐는데 4명은 거실에 2명은 침실에 있었습니다.

다른 층 객실에 머물던 남녀 각각 3명으로 모두 베트남 사람들인데 이 중 2명은 미국 국적입니다.

몸싸움을 벌이거나 스스로 목숨을 끊으려 한 정황은 찾을 수 없었습니다.

[세타 타위신 / 태국 총리 : 처음에 현장을 살펴본 결과 강도나 폭행 흔적은 없었습니다. 부검과 법의학 증거를 바탕으로 일단 섭취한 물질과 관련이 있는 것으로 의심됩니다.]

방 안에서는 커피와 차를 마신 흔적이 남아 있었고 시신이 거품을 물고 있었던 것으로 전해졌습니다.

이에 따라 현지 경찰은 독극물에 의한 살인 가능성에 무게를 두고 있고 한 현지 매체는 청산가리 중독이 원인이라고 보도했습니다.

객실은 한 사람이 여러 개를 예약했는데 당시 인원은 7명이었습니다.

이에 따라 수사 당국은 제7의 인물을 유력한 용의자로 보고 있습니다.
